Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a fermented sugar-derived biopolymer — biosynthesised through controlled microbial fermentation of sorbitol — that is structurally compatible with the skin’s own surface chemistry. In a cleanser, its key function is filmogenic: it forms a fine, breathable protective film on the skin surface that acts as a substitute for the natural moisture barrier that harsh cleansers typically disrupt.

Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid is a synthetic avenanthramide analog — a compound structurally inspired by the natural itch-calming actives found in oats. In the Moisturising Cleanser, it brings well-established calming and anti-inflammatory properties to the cleansing step — addressing the skin reactivity and redness that sensitive skin types commonly experience during washing. By modulating the skin’s inflammatory response, it helps prevent the redness, irritation and tightness that typically follow cleansing with conventional products.
This ingredient is especially valuable in a cleanser because it acts at the moment of greatest skin vulnerability — the wash step, when the barrier is temporarily disrupted and the skin is most susceptible to environmental triggers and reactive flares.

Directions for Use
Use with water: Gently cleanse your skin in circular motion, then rinse with water. Use without water: Gently cleanse your skin and remove excess with a soft cloth, leaving an adhesive film on the skin. Avoid eyes and for external use only. Consult physician in case of adverse reaction.
