A university lab that refused to stay in the lab.
REMDII began as a research initiative at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2014, where our founding scientists — researchers in Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Food Technology — spent years studying the relationship between lipids, skin barrier function, and inflammatory skin conditions including eczema and atopic dermatitis.
What started as academic research became something more urgent — a realisation that the people who needed these breakthroughs most were still waiting. In 2018, LIPIDGROUP SDN BHD was established to bring this science out of the lab and into real hands.
REMDII launched its first product in 2017 and has since grown to be trusted by 100,000 people, available at over 1,000 clinics and pharmacies across Malaysia and Singapore.
