Three humectants, each working at a different depth. Glycerin is the most studied moisturising ingredient in skincare — it draws water from the air and the deeper layers of skin to the surface, and keeps it there. Betaine, a naturally occurring amino-acid derivative found in sugar beet, is an osmolyte: it helps cells hold their water balance so lips stay plump and comfortable even in dry, air-conditioned rooms.
Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) adds the soothing layer — it binds moisture to the lip surface and helps tight, flaky lips feel calm and supple. Together the three deliver hydration that lasts, rather than a momentary slick that disappears with the next sip of water.

Ceramides are the lipids that hold the skin's outer layer together — the mortar between the bricks. On the lips, which have a far thinner outer layer than facial skin, they are depleted quickly by licking, wind, sun and dry air, and that is when lips start to crack and peel. REMDII's 3:1:1 ratio of Ceramide NP, AP and EOP, with phytosphingosine and cholesterol, mirrors the skin's own lipid composition — so the lips recognise and accept it.
This is the same skin-mimic ceramide system used across REMDII's Sensitive Series creams, adapted into a lip-weight texture. It replenishes what dryness has taken, helping lips hold moisture on their own again.

The balance between them is what makes this a cream rather than a balm — rich enough to protect through the night, light enough to wear under lipstick in the morning. Natural Full Spectrum Vitamin E (tocotrienol, tocopherol and beta-carotene) rounds out the blend with antioxidant protection against everyday environmental stress.
